PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

Our clinical and research team members are not only leaders in general clinical pediatric gastroenterology; we’re also experts in a broad range of 20 specialty areas.

  • Our Pancreas Care Center is one of only a few pediatric programs recognized as a Center of Excellence by the National Pancreas Foundation. Cincinnati Children’s is one of a few hospitals in the country offering total pancreatectomy and islet auto-transplantation (TPIAT) for children as young as toddler age who experience debilitating chronic pancreatitis.

  • Interventional Endoscopy Center: Our advanced endoscopists are among a few providers in the country that have extensive experience caring for children. They perform specialized diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS).

  • Cincinnati Children’s has been recognized as one of the top liver centers in the world, and offers shorter wait times to transplantationPatients at Cincinnati Children's receive a new liver more than two times faster than the national median. 

  • Learn more about our new Research Center for Rare Liver Diseases, a first-of-its-kind research center dedicated to finding answers for patients with PFIC and related diseases.
